These terms govern your use of the UpgradeNSave website and the energy advisory services we provide to South African households and small businesses.
UpgradeNSave offers home energy audits, appliance-level consumption tracking, and phased efficiency recommendations for geysers, lighting, heating, and pool pumps. Our service is advisory only — we do not install equipment, perform electrical work, or act as a licensed contractor. Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician registered with the Department of Employment and Labour.
You agree to provide accurate information about your property, appliances, and electricity usage during the audit process. You are responsible for ensuring that any changes you make to your home's electrical system comply with South African wiring regulations (SANS 10142) and municipal bylaws. Always switch off the main breaker before inspecting electrical components and contact a professional if you are unsure about any step.
Savings estimates provided in audit reports are based on typical usage patterns and published appliance efficiency data. Actual savings depend on your household behaviour, local electricity tariffs, seasonal weather, and the condition of your equipment. We do not guarantee specific rand amounts or percentage reductions on your monthly bill.
UpgradeNSave is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses arising from actions taken based on our recommendations, including DIY installation attempts, incorrect wiring, or failure to follow safety guidelines. We are also not responsible for third-party products or services you purchase as a result of our suggestions. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the specific audit service in question.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the UpgradeNSave website or dashboard if you misuse the service, provide false information, attempt to disrupt the platform, or violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the tracking dashboard ends, but audit reports already delivered remain yours to keep.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or industry standards. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
